Roots to Routes with Anand Dattani
I collect defining stories from across generations - even those that are no longer with us. Why? To see what we have, and what we can learn from them, and how our modern culture has evolved since their time. How? By speaking to mission-led entrepreneurs and creatives - founders, actors, artists, authors, you name it - about the lives and stories of their previous generations and how those have shaped who they are today and the legacy they’re now looking to build upon. My aim is to uncover the hidden influences that guide us, the lessons we inherit, and how we can use them to shape the future ahead of us. Roots to Routes Pod (R2RPod): Behind The Rebrand
Saturday Sep 02, 2023
Saturday Sep 02, 2023
If you've listened to the show or are excited of what's to come - I'd love if you could leave a rating and review on the platform you use. This goes an incredibly long way to getting these conversations in the eyes (and ears) of more people who are looking for this kind of content. The bigger the show gets, the bigger the guests get.SUMMARY OF THE REBRANDThe podcast was initially named the journey onwards. The aim of the show, which started with with the stories of my dad and his siblings, was to relive the journeys, adventures and lessons learnt from the migration stories of each guest. We explored how these pivotal moments in their life journey had impacted what they stand for and the key messages that they want to journey onwards to future generations through the work that they do and the niche they've become recognised for.Being a child of immigrant parents, I realised how significant the journey they had been through, and the risks they took, had been in shaping my own identity, core values, and the opportunities I've been given in life. So I decided the evolve the podcast to serve as a way for people of my generation, who similarly have grown up in a country and society that's different to their background, to unravel how the journey of their previous generations has had a valuable role to play in where they are and what they stand for today. The show features esteemed guests who are well recognised in their niche, including founders and CEOs, musicians and actors, authors and change makers, and more. The podcast has a mission to make modern history relevant, through highlighting the story of the guest's family Roots, and it's influence on the route the guests have taken. And so, the tagine 'from Roots to routes' was born.Find the podcast on Social MediaInstagram: www.instagram.com/anandsworldTikTok: www.tiktok.com/@AnandDattaniPodcastYouTube: www.YouTube.com/@AnandDattaniPodcastWebsite: www.ananddattani.com (coming soon) Hosted on Acast.
